“We have been coming here for years and we still enjoy our visits each time.”
Mr Gordon Wallace
“I have used the Tea rooms for some time, and find the food and the staff very friendly and the food excellent.”
“When you’ve had your fill of the beaches and the harbour, and gazed long enough at the beautiful coastline, turn inland a little way and head for the Old Town of Bridlington. Here is another world seemingly unchanged through the years, and here you will find the Georgian Tea Rooms. The minute you step through the door and feel the quiet friendly atmosphere, you will know you have found treasure. Quiet and cool in summer, warm and welcoming in winter, this is the ideal place for morning coffee, afternoon tea, and fresh wholesome lunches prepared with care and presented by a group of smiling people, clearly dedicated to our enjoyment. Beyond the rooms lies a terrace of tables for outdoor refreshment, and then an unexpected garde, with chalets full of artefacts of a bygone age.
Above the tea room are more rooms, all packed with antiques and fascinating bric-a-brac. “Oh !” you will say. “My grandmother had one of those!” But it is not all about the past, Craftsman, jewellery-makers and artists all flock to the Georgian Tea Rooms to sell their work. You need an unusual gift for someone? Here it is. You need the best breakfast in town? Or a tasty lunch? Or a real old fashioned afternoon tea, served on levely vintage china? Here it is. Don’t miss the Georgian Tea Rooms.”
